The Department and other entities collect a large amount of air quality data from air monitoring stations and other sources. The intern will assist with the region's efforts to download, organize, and assess local air quality data and determine impacts in specific Environmental Justice communities and evaluate possible impact sources. The intern will also aid in performing a cumulative impact assessment (CIA) for Holyoke working with a MassDEP senior staff person.The intern will download, organize, analyze, and help interpret air quality data with the use of Excel. Data will be incorporated from multiple information sources. Data trends will be displayed via the use of tables and charts. The intern will also assist senior staff to perform a cumulative impact study in Holyoke. A final report in Word and PowerPoint presentation will be developed that summarizes the results of the analysis.Preferred Qualifications
