Your Mission as a Senior Back-End EngineerWe are seeking a Senior Back-End Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a growth mindset, with strong accountability, and ready to take ownership. You'll have the opportunity to work across the stack, solve complex problems, and contribute to mission-critical applications.As a Senior Back-End Engineer, you'll design and develop backend services that power our healthcare platform. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our systems are reliable, secure, and designed to grow with us.Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Own the Backend: Design and develop scalable, efficient, and secure services to power mission-critical applications.
  • Serverless Applications: Develop and maintain applications using AWS Lambda and the Serverless Framework.
  • Make Data Work: Design and manage databases (SQL/NoSQL within AWS) that scale with the company's growth, enhancing efficiency and data integrity.
  • Code Collaboration: Manage repositories using GitHub, and collaborate with other team members to bring tangible innovation to healthcare. Take advantage of AI co-pilots to multiply your speed, productivity and efficiency - and enhance the quality of your code and documentation.
  • API Integration: Work on integrating external APIs, ensuring seamless communication between services.
  • Testing: Develop and maintain robust unit and integration tests using PyTest.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
  • System Reliability: Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions using Sentry and AWS CloudWatch.
  • AI Integration: We are not just working with traditional solutions; we're building cutting-edge tools. What You'll Bring:
  • Experience: 5+ years of backend development in a cloud environment (preferably Python).
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to take on complex challenges and build innovative solutions with minimal guidance.
  • Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in Python; experience with C# and/or Node.js is a plus.
  • Cloud Expert: Proficient in AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and CloudFormation, RDS, and IAM.
  • Version Control: Proficient with GitHub workflows.
  • Testing Frameworks: Experience with unit and integration testing using PyTest or similar.
  • Serverless Framework: Highly desirable experience.
  • Database Knowledge: Familiarity with both relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB).
  • API Design: Experience with RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, leadership, and a collaborative mindset.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with AWS Step Functions or building applications with AI co-pilots? Let's chat.
