Job Description Summary:
- The Procurement & Contracts Advisor will lead the development, implementation, and execution of procurement & contracting strategies for Chevron New Energies (CNE) projects. The position is expected to combine in-depth knowledge of P/SCM processes and tools, with an ability to innovate and collaborate across business lines to deliver solutions to enable CNE's business fast paced and dynamic goals.
- Job Description:
- Lead the end-to-end strategy development and execution of contracting and procurement needs for CNE projects, which involves the full S2P cycle of complex sourcing, procurement, negotiation, supplier assessment, claims management, contract formulation, and supplier and contract management.
- Support CNE's business lines of CCUS, Hydrogen, Offsets & Emerging from Phase 1 through Phase 4 of projects, as well as CNE Base Business needs.
- CNE projects are matured through the Agile framework and span a range of development maturity, from technology trials/pilots to demonstration and full value chain projects, which may involve engineering, fabrication, construction, and commissioning of complex facilities.
- Leverage extensive experience and supply chain acumen along with project planning, execution skills and experience to anticipate customer demands, mitigate risk, and proactively ensure security of supply with new and existing contractors, suppliers, and technology providers in a very tight and fast-paced market.
- Ensure compliance to Chevron's policies and procedures in a fit for purpose, risk-based approach. Leverage expertise and network to proactively make meaningful recommendations for simplification and rationalization of P/SCM policies and procedures tailored to meet CNE's needs.
