This role requires working in an environment that requires advanced contract negotiation skills along with an advanced level of program management acumen.In order to be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will need to be a strong negotiator with a demonstrated ability to deliver results. The ideal candidate will skillfully manage and be directly accountable for ensuing overall contract performance. This person must be a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational and program objectives and must be able to interface with internal stakeholders and customer management.Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Participate in proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration and customer contact activities to enable proper contract acquisition.Provide support to senior management regarding contractual and business issues.Draft, review and negotiate contracts/contract modifications to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as public law requirements.Summarize contract issues, research compliance matters, interpret regulations, identify risks, and formulate recommendations.Act as the primary interface with customers during proposal phase, negotiations, and contract performance.Negotiate sound business deals with customers and provide governance to the program team carrying out the terms and scope of the contract.Work well as a member of the cross business team (CBT), and foster teamwork with both external and internal customers.Handle several assignments concurrently while maintaining schedule deadlines.Manage relationships with US Government customers.Required Skills:Minimum 8 years of experience in the field of Contract Management, Negotiations, or related fields.Must be a U.S. CitizenMust hold an active Top Secret clearance; active TS/SCI preferredMust be willing to work onsite in order to perform job dutiesKnowledge of, and experience with, various types of contracts (e.g. Cost Reimbursement, FFP, T&M, IDIQ, etc.), NDA's, SOWs, Teaming Agreements and other commercial agreementsDemonstrated ability to effectively prioritize actions in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with customers and internal partners based on understanding and trust.Proven record of responsiveness with strong time management and organization skillsDemonstrated understanding of cost structures, material estimates, development costs, performance requirements, delivery schedules, and terms and conditions for accuracy and completenessUnderstanding of competitive procurements and ability to support the development and preparation of high quality, complex proposalsStrong knowledge of FAR/DFAR regulations and ability to apply them appropriately, with an understanding of standard Prime Contractor flow down provisions.Required Education:Must have 8+ years of applicable work experience with a BA/BS degree, or 16+ years of applicable work experience at the minimum in lieu of a BS degree can be substituted.Previously part of a leading Fortune 100 company and headquartered in Dulles, VA; Nightwing became independent in 2024 but continues to support the nation's most mission impactful initiatives.When we formed Nightwing, we brought a deep set of credentials and an unfaltering commitment to the mission. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
