Scope of Position: As a Computer Systems Engineer, you will collaborate with a team to manage, modify, and develop computer systems essential for our manufacturing processes. This role also involves participating in or occasionally leading projects aimed at achieving plant objectives, driving cost reduction initiatives, and supporting capacity expansion efforts.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Provide production support and troubleshooting for our 24/7 manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with production associates, technicians, and engineers to ensure the reliability of automated control systems and user interfaces.
- Support optimization efforts for processes and products.
- Deliver training for engineers and production associates on new processes, equipment, or control systems.
- Participate in capital projects and provide after-hours on-call support as needed.
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant technical experience.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in computer and PLC programming, including VB, .NET, C, or real-time systems.
Desired Skills:
- Experience integrating computers into manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost reduction.
- Familiarity with MS Windows, iFIX, EthernetIP I/O, Microsoft Office, real-time control systems, and SCADA.
- Experience in production support within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with an ability to understand the real needs behind operations and engineering requests.
- Experience troubleshooting simple low voltage electrical circuitry.
Travel Requirements & Work Hours:
- Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional off-hours on-call support.
