Position Overview
We are partnered with a manufacturer in Mooresville, NC that is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to design, program, and maintain control systems for their machinery. This position will play a critical role in developing automation solutions and ensuring optimal machine performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and program PLCs, HMIs, and motion control systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
- Create electrical schematics using CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical).
- Develop and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus).
- Test, diagnose, and resolve control system issues during development and installation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical support during commissioning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in controls engineering or automation.
- Proficiency in PLC programming.
- Experience with CAD tools for electrical schematics (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical).
- Strong knowledge of motion control, servo systems, and industrial sensors.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
