Job Description:
In this role you will be responsible for power plant troubleshooting, operations, monitoring, and data collection by assisting customers and field service personnel.You will work in a state of the art control room environment with other shift personnel. The company is looking for a motivated person with strong power and technical experience to join their tight group of employees. In this role, you will monitor, control, operate and maintain the fleet of power plants via a remote monitoring center.You will respond to calls from customers and field service personnel and help in the resolution of technical issues. It will be critical for you to follow established operating and test procedures and assisting with power plant troubleshooting, operation, and monitoring and data collection.Part of your role will require a high level of interaction with internal engineering groups to resolve issues. Also, you will assist with Conditioning Facility operations. As with any role, you will be required to perform other duties as assigned. One of the unique aspects of this role is the working schedule. You work a 2 on, 2 off, 5 on, 5 off schedule, which rotates days to nights, 12-hour shifts. This means in each rotation, you are working only 7 days out of 14. You get a built-in 5-day vacation that you don't have to use your own vacation time with each rotation. With this schedule you are guaranteed 20 hours of overtime monthly and there is a 15%-night shift differential.To win this role you must:- Demonstrate your ability to work well with others. You are going to be in a control room for 12 hours a day. You can't get too high or low. Even keeled people will do best. Be comfortable sitting in front of computers and remaining calm, cool, and collected.- Discuss your ability to understand technical systems and how they interact with each other. Their systems include mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. The more well-rounded you are in your skill set, the better.- Have a strong desire to be in energy/power operations.
