Job Description:

In general, the Controls Specialist will provide skilled technical and engineering support to repair, maintenance, programming and refurbishment of Mill electrical system and automation projects. The position will assist in the management of projects, coordination of work, and execution of work related to electrical maintenance, electrical engineering, and automation. The major emphasis is on analyzing and solving complex technical problems and identifying opportunities to continually improve the uptime, reliability, and performance of equipment.What you will do:Coordinate small to medium scope projects for electrical and automation improvements.Assist maintenance planning and reliability maintenance with CMMS / Ivara system.Investigate, design, and procure equipment and spare parts for root cause solutions to problematic equipment issues.Solve problems, seek, and identify opportunities, and implement solutions with limited input from others.Respond to call out and trouble / repair calls.Liaise with equipment suppliers to repair and maintain to OEM specifications and modify/retrofit equipment and systems for efficiency improvements with the manufacturing process.Repair, replace, or modify electronic and electrical process control equipment.Implement design changes on programmable controller and microprocessor based process control equipment.Read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.Work safely and follow safety rules.
