TFC Poultry has expanding and recently opened our second poultry production plant in Winchester, Virginia. As such we're currently hiring for a Control Systems Technician. The Control Systems Technician is responsible for installing, calibrating, troubleshooting and maintaining control systems for poultry processing equipment. Specializing in instrumentation, PLCs (programmable logic controllers), and control hardware (I/O, remote I/O, and VFDs) used throughout the processing facility. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Monitor the utility and process control systems for the automated equipmentOptimize the performance of control loops to ensure the efficient operation of the various processing systems.Perform basic programming tasks for utility and process control systems; adjust programs with ladder logic and structured text; operate PLCs and associated inputs/outputs; operate VFDsMaintain and troubleshoot Ethernet/IP and Modbus industrial networksTroubleshoot controls systems and PLC controls to avoid/minimize interruptions to productionRead and maintain controls schematics, process and instrumentation diagramsSupervise/assist with set-up, installation and check-out of new electrical equipmentUtilize Plant Coordinating System to analyze data and provide reliability improvementsPromote personal and company image throughout the communityTravel domestically up to 5% (2-3 weeks) Requirements: 2-year technical degree or 3-5 years of automation controls experienceAbility to navigate/adjust PLC programs with Rockwell Studio 5000Knowledge of CODESYS is a plusAble to read and interpret ladder logic diagrams and structured textProficiency with Microsoft Office products2D AutoCAD experience Physical Requirements: Ability to climb stairs Benefits: 75% Paid Employee and Dependent Health Insurance Dental/Vision Insurance 3% Matched 401k Retirement Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Frequent Company Lunches Long Term Disability $25,000 Term Life Insurance Work boot Reimbursement Apply now to join the TFC Family!
