Job Title: ControllerOverview: -Oversee finance, accounting, reporting, forecasting, and risk management functions. The role reports directly to the CEO. -Responsibilities:
- Oversee finance, accounting, treasury, and risk management operations.
- Enforce and update accounting methods, policies, controls, and procedures.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end financial reporting.
- Extract, analyze, interpret, and report financial data for performance metrics.
- Mentor, train, and develop staff.
- Prepare and review month-end account reconciliations, budgets, projections, and forecasts.
- Oversee group insurance coverage and prepare information for renewals.
- Lead monthly operations and planning meetings.
- Complete ad hoc projects for the Executive Team.
- Manage business filings: corporate tax payments, license renewals, state registrations, property, and sales tax returns.
- Support company initiatives by attending relevant training.
- Suggest and implement sustainable improvements.
- Participate in safety training and comply with safety policies.
- Administer work rules, disciplinary actions, performance appraisals, and salary adjustments. -Qualifications:
- Previous experience in government contracting/accounting, specifically with the Department of Defense, is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- Highly motivated and results-oriented.
- 7+ years of accounting experience; 3+ years in a management capacity with supervisory responsibilities.
- CPA preferred.
- Prior Manufacturing Controller experience required.
- Proficient in job cost accounting.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Extensive experience in a multi-entity environment, reconciling intercompany transactions, and consolidated financial reporting.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proficient understanding of current US GAAP requirements.
- Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively and professionally. -Compensation:
- Estimated Min Rate: $125,000.00
