Job DetailsWe are seeking an experienced Controller for our Construction company. This is a unique opportunity to join a thriving company where you will be a key player in managing and driving financial operations. Our ideal candidate should have a strong background in construction accounting, financial management, and lien management. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience. 1. Overseeing all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Liens/Lien Waivers, and Revenue Recognition.2. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.3. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.4. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.5. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.6. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.7. Collaborating with project management teams to analyze job costs, and manage the capital budget.8. Implementing and driving lien processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.9. Providing leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives. Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A master's degree or CPA is a plus.2. Minimum of 5+ years of proven accounting experience in the construction industry (architecture or engineering would be considered).3. Proven experience in driving the financial planning of a company, managing financial risks, record-keeping, financial reporting, and profitability analysis.4. AIA documentation experience.5. Proven experience with lien processes.6. Proficiency in accounting software, databases, and financial analysis applications.7. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with various departments.9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.10.
