Description
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Provide detailed reports to family leadership to guide strategic decision-making.
- Manage project budgets and collaborate with project managers to monitor job costs, forecast expenses, and control variances to keep projects on budget.
- Maintain a strong cash flow by overseeing accounts payable, receivable, and collections. Ensure sufficient liquidity for ongoing projects while supporting sustainable growth.
- Work with the family leadership team to set long-term financial goals, with attention to profitability, growth opportunities, and preserving the company's legacy.
- Oversee job costing and profitability analysis, ensuring each project contributes positively to the company's financial health.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA designation highly preferred.
- 7+ years in accounting or finance with at least 3 years in a supervisory role, ideally within a family-owned or construction company.
- Proficiency in construction accounting principles, project-based management, and job costing. Familiarity with construction accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills with a practical approach to problem-solving. Ability to provide meaningful financial insights in an easily understandable way for family members and non-financial stakeholders.
