- Oversee all financial operations including full cycle accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Implement and maintain all financial controls and systems within the business, identifying and recommending potential operational efficiencies and improvements to working practices and procedures.
- Utilize CMIC software for project management, ensuring all projects are financially on track.
- Prepare and present financial reports and risk analysis.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
- Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.
- Manage the preparation of payroll for personnel.
- Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.
- Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance.
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
- Direct and coordinate the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and investment decisions.
- Work with department managers to develop five-year business plans.
- Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
- Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the construction industry.
- Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CPA) is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in CMIC software and project management is a must.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, and financial compliance requirements.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with an ability to communicate and manage staff at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to think strategically and analytically.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
- Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Able to relocate if needed.
