- Prepare timely monthly financial statements and board reports
- Complete month-end and year-end close process
- Prepare budget, financial forecasts and report variances
- Partner and lead relationship with outsourced accounting firm
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Ensure quality control over financial transitions and financial reporting
- Partner with payroll admin to ensure compliance and forecasts are in-line and accurate
- Oversight of processing of payables, receivables and other day-to-day business transactions
- Manage company funds, ensuring adequate balances are maintained in bank accounts
- Manage company's weekly cash flow and provide periodic reporting as required to management and board of directors
- Manage and comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Prepare any ad-hoc financial analysis and reports upon request for C-level executives, department heads, and/or project managers to support strategic organizational initiatives
- Consistently measure task strategies and efficiency, as well as project performance, to identify areas of improvement
- Any other task that may be called upon to be completed, at the discretion of leadership or board of directors
Qualifications:
- Comfortable working 100% onsite in West Palm Beach
- 4+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Ability to work independently, with excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to prepare and understand detailed financial analysis
- Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's or higher)
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (GAAP)
- Experience with the general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close process
- Experience in creating financial statements and reports for board meetings
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
- Exemplary Excel and Google Sheets skills required
- CPA highly preferred
- A foundational knowledge of the hospitality or restaurant industry and operations strongly preferred
