Position: Interim Controller
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Salary: 140k 160k
Established Real Estate firm seeks a Interim Real Estate Controller Into lead their Team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise Accounting department staff of seven individuals (including A/R, A/P, Lease administration, Payroll, Accounting, and admin)
- Prepare all information required by outside accountants for year-end reporting
- Calculate and issue Capital Calls and Distributions to Partners
- Property closings (financial calculations, closing adjustments, partner capital).
- Tenant arrears analysis and resolution.
- Review financial statements prepared by potential tenants
- Cash management for properties
- Review property accounting reports on monthly basis.
- Review property budgets and projections prepared for outsiders (banks, partners and appraisers) and internal staff.
- Tenant arrears / financial lease issues
- Bank financial reporting
- Real estate tax appeal coordination and tax analysis issues
- Maintain corporate books
- Process corporate payroll
QUALIFICATIONS
- BBA in Accounting or Finance
- CPA a plus
- Must have 10+ years Related Experience
- Must have managed
- Commercial Real Estate knowledge is mandatory
- Advanced Excel skill desired
- MDS Real Estate software a plus
