(DFI) management and owners with the appropriate financial and operating performance information and analysis necessary to facilitate planning and to fairly state the operating results and financial position of the company. Projects for total company revenues. Directs preparation and maintenance of all fiscal records and information systems. Develops and interprets financial data for long range planning. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following: Create, coordinate and evaluate the financial programs and supporting information systems of the company to include budgeting, tax planning, real estate and conservation of assets. Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure and position control documents, department budgets, mass salary updates, ledger and account maintenance and data entry. Interprets and analyzes financial results in terms of profitability, performance against budget (forecast) and other matters bearing on the company's fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness. Direct the cost-effective development, implementation, operation and maintenance of automated financial and management information systems and tools to support effective management of the company. Ensure that labor, material, and overhead cost standards accurately reflect the true costs of bringing a casting to market and which allows for accurate and effective quotes and prices. Develop, analyze and interpret capital plans/budgets, operation budgets and pro forma financial statements to support management decisions and long-range planning. Establish and implement short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures. Evaluate the company's needs relative to insurance and benefit programs and in conjunction with Human Resources, coordinate relationships with service providers regarding program design, cost and implementation. This includes, but is not limited to medical/dental, worker's compensation, and 401k plans. Manages the company's payroll and benefits administration systems. Directs the internal auditing function to ensure that the company is following generally accepted accounting principles and procedures and that appropriate internal financial control safeguards are established and followed. Provide responsive financial counsel to the CEO and Board of Directors, including necessary coordination with legal counsels and other advisors as needed. Prepare financial analyses of operations, including interim and final periodic financial statements with supporting schedules in an accurate and timely manner. Analyze cash flow, cost controls and expenses to guide the management team. Analyzes financial statements to pinpoint weak areas. Establish and implement policies and practices relative to the accounting system, general ledger and financial records of transactions and assets. Ensure that procedures, practices and records are in full compliance with applicable regulations, laws and highest standards of accounting practices. Establish and maintain other planning and control procedures as needed, including the analysis and reporting of budgetary and financial variances. Ensure that an effective and reliable cost accounting system is in place to accurately reflect manufacturing, sales and administrative costs. Manage the company's accounts receivable/customer payments on a daily basis. Authorize disbursement of general funds and reconcile bank accounts. Maintain company property and liability insurance program. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum of 7+ years of Accounting experience preferred, with strong U.S. GAAP knowledge. 5+ years in comparable management position, preferably in a manufacturing setting strongly preferred.
