They hire creative people passionate about working on projects that matter. This position is an excellent opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a strong financial and accounting background with experience working with multiple foreign subsidiaries. The company is privately held and headquartered in Nassau County, New York, with offices in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. What You Will Do: The Global Controller will manage the overall financial health of the Company. This position is responsible for ensuring the preparation and analysis of all financial reports meet the needs of the organization and comply with all applicable regulations. The Global Controller directs and develops the Company's international accounting principles, practices, procedures, initiatives and reports to the VP of Finance. What You'll Need: 5-7 years of experience required including the management of an accounting team Prior experience working within a multicultural environment and exposure to managing foreign entities Prior public accounting experience and CPA license Strong technical and practical knowledge of GAAP accounting Experience with cash flow management, budget preparation, and review Experience working with Sub-S Corporate tax structure and preparation of tax schedules Experience in preparing audited workpapers Proficiency with JDE/ Oracle Financial Accounting Software and advanced knowledge of Excel The ability to work collaboratively across teams in the U.S. and overseas To be a critical thinker, problem solver and looks for ways to improve processes To be self-motivated, flexible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision Pay and Perks The Company culture is relaxed but engaged.
