The Portfolio Controller will assist in overseeing the financial operations and accounting functions of KSL Resorts' collection of select service properties. This includes preparing financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and audits, as well as ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate month-end P&L statements as well as provide monthly forecast oversight.
- Participate in the budget process across all entities within the boutique portfolio.
- Maintain current capital schedules and weekly liquidity reports.
- Actively assist in robust monthly business/financial meetings (credit, labor, etc.).
- Oversight of month end variance reports.
- Participate in RevMAX and other property operations conversations.
- Actively involved in preparing and posting month end journal entries.
- Actively involved in preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Promote accountability to drive superior business results. Includes successful execution of finance strategies and business processes.
- Effectively resolve guest issues that arise as a result of the accounting process. Bring issues to the attention of property and leadership team as appropriate.
- Fosters open channels of communication between all employees.
- Participates in the performance appraisal system process, giving feedback when needed.
- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among associates.
- Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.
Must Have Personal Qualifications:1. Meets or exceeds KSLR's hiring and talent standards.2. Ability to analyze and evaluate data and use good judgment in making decisions.3. Ability to solve problems using creative solutions.4. Ability to work effectively as a team player.5. Ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders.6. Strong communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written.7. Available and able to travel across the United States as needed.8. Prefer a bachelor's degree with a major in business, finance, accounting (or relevant post graduate education), but not required.Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range is $110,000 - $130,000, depending on experience
