The Controller reports directly to the General Manager and functionally to the Director of FP&A.What You'll Do:
- Direct, plan, and coordinate the plant financial functions including financial statement reporting and analysis, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Manage monthly financial close.
- Prepare assigned monthly journal entries (including all related to inventory).
- Ensure that all general ledger accounts are reconciled monthly.
- Prepare bank inventory reporting monthly.
- Bridge actual results to forecasted and budgeted using company schedules.
- Provide support for the Weekly Operations call including a 3-month outlook on Sales & EBITDA.
- Maintain adequate payable and receivables systems.
- Maintain current knowledge of company policies and procedures and current accounting standards.
- Prepare and implement yearly standard cost updates.
- Provide business case evaluations for capital projects.
- Participate in cost reduction activities, ensuring that financial objectives are clear, and results can be tracked and reported.
- Manage annual audit activities.
- Work with external auditors and tax teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We Need From You:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 3 to 5 years in a Controller role in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP.
- Leadership, mentoring, and team building skills.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
- ERP experience along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent oral, written, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed records.
