The Position: Morales Group is seeking an experienced controller to join our professional work environment. We are looking for an individual who wants to deliver high-quality products and is looking for a position with clear and identifiable tasks and duties. Essential Functions/Job Specific:
  • Responsible for the daily activities of the Finance department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial information, including monthly financial statements.
  • Oversee a team of individuals as it relates to financial close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections
  • Manage the accounts payable process and ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, vendor management, cash flow management, etc.
  • Manage the accounts receivable process and ensure accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, and collection efforts
  • Responsible for identifying variances compared to expectations and identifying areas for cost reduction
  • Participate in weekly treasury decision making
  • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly bank compliance deliverables
  • Oversee management of the corporate card program
  • Coordinate and oversee various Company audits, including annual financial audit, 401k audit, workers compensation audit, among others
  • Ensure shareholder and corporate income tax compliance, including coordination of external tax team
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, and enhance the Company's value
  • Review and recommend credit terms for new clients.
  • Manage and maintain the step up and structure of NetSuite.
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, vendors, and others in a courteous and professional manner
The Qualities:
  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in accounting and 5+ years of experience in accounting oversight related role
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, equity, tax management, and treasury
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (pivot tables, vlookups, etc)
  • Ability to manage data flowing through multiple complex systems
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Strong managerial abilities
  • Prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be accurate, concise, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Experience with Vendor Management Systems (VMS) preferred
  • Netsuite, Bullhorn, and PrismHR software experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, prospects, and vendors
  • Ability to handle confidential information and material concerning employees, wages, and company information
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to maintain effectiveness during change
