Job Description:
Job PurposeWe are looking for a detail-oriented candidate that is eager to learn and grow in this fast-paced environment. Reporting directly to the Group President, you will take a key finance leadership role for Chicago Steel and Maksteel by providing valuable insight to senior leadership. You will ensure timely and accurate internal (management) reporting around the monthly results package, quarterly forecast, annual budget, and strategic plan (long term model). Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of 1-2 general accounts and/or analysts.
  • Team cross-functionally with A/R, A/P, Tax, External reporting, cost, and BU operating personnel to ensure financial results are completed accurately and timely.
  • Ensure compliance with company established accounting policies and procedures.
  • Create accurate budgeting, treasury, and financial reporting to support the company's long-term growth.
  • Serve as a business partner with divisional leadership to ensure reporting needs are met.
  • Be a trusted advisor to the company leadership.
  • Interact with various departments regarding issues and other situations as needed.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, a CPA or public accounting experience, and a minimum of 5 years of experience is required.
  • A team player with great managerial experience.
  • Self-motivated, creative out-of-the-box thinker that naturally pushes to constantly improve systems, processes, and procedures to minimize non-value-added activities.
  • Detail oriented, highest level of integrity, dependable, and able to work independently as well as a member of our team.
  • Strong ERP systems background; database knowledge helpful.
  • Experience in process improvement.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL and database queries.
  • Manufacturing experience is highly desired.
