Summary
A leading North American die-cast and machined components provider, Pace Industries, offers manufacturers full-service solutions with a unique blend of experience, innovation, and expertise, providing confidence and quality throughout each customers' full product development, launch and production life cycle.
The Plant Controller assists in the managing of the Finance function of Pace Plant Operations. This key role in the organization provides accurate, timely and meaningful financial information to various management personnel and helps guide continuous improvement. The Plant Controller reports to the Corporate Controller.
Duties and Responsibilities
(but not limited to)
* Maintenance of accounting general ledger
* Preparation of account reconciliations
* Preparation of financial and management reports
* Analysis and review of financial performance including metric reporting
* Maintenance and analysis of standard inventory costs
* Analysis and preparation of annual CapEx budgets and spending toward those budgets
* Analysis and preparation of annual operating budgets along with variance analysis
* Preparation of monthly sales, CapEx and P&L forecasts
* Variance analysis for monthly forecasts
* Supervision of month-end physical inventories
* Assist in customer credit and collections
* Management of clerical accounting staff
* Maintenance of internal controls and segregation of duties
* Support corporate headquarters
* Other special accounting projects and ad-hoc reports

Position Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
* 7+ years of progressive cost accounting and analysis experience preferably with a major manufacturing organization.
* Strong analytical skills are required to quickly grasp issues impacting the plant's financial results
* Excellent communication and presentation skills are required
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across plant and functional organizations
* Experience in the use of ERPs (SAP, Plex, Odyssey, etc.)
