Apply today or refer a qualified friend. Position Summary: This full-time, in person position has the responsibility and oversight for our accounting office personnel. This role is a key player in steering the financial direction of our dealership and ensuring our continued success in the competitive automotive industry. The ideal candidate should have strong decision-making ability, outstanding communication skills, in-depth accounting and financial acumen, and the ability to lead and motivate a team. This individual must have demonstrated experience working with all members, levels, and functions of an organization. In this role, you will: - Regularly and accurately report the financial position of the dealership to the General Manager and CFO - Summarize sales and expense analysis to detect potential problem areas and opportunities for improved company profitability - Provide management with timely reviews of dealership financial status and progress - Interpret the financial statement and daily operating reports and inform management of developing trends - Responsible for hiring, training and supervision of accounting office personnel - Reinforce company policies and adhere to all company standards - Ensure compliance with established Company accounting policies, laws and regulations - Review the reconciliation of general ledger accounts with outside sources to ensure proper bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, factory payable, and floor plan payable - Maintain appropriate internal controls over financial reporting For this role, we want you to have: - At least 2 years Controller experience in an Automotive Dealership, or 4 or more years as an Assistant Controller in an Automotive Dealership Group. - In-depth experience in all areas of retail automotive accounting - Requires strong communication, customer service, leadership and organizational skills - Strong analytical skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills - A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred; however, experience in lieu of a degree will be considered - Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office experience is a must Benefits we offer: - Retirement plan 401(k) with match - Short- and Long-term disability plans - Life and Supplemental insurance - Employee discounts on vehicle purchases, parts and service repairs - Opportunities to join our Koons Cares community outreach initiatives Pay Range: $95,000 - $120,000 Job Type: Full-time We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package commensurate with experience.
