My client is seeking an experienced and driven Corporate Controller to lead and oversee the accounting functions for a fast-growing medical device resale firm. This role is integral to ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP standards, and the implementation of robust internal controls.

Description

Financial Reporting & Accounting
  • Manage the preparation and timely delivery of financial statements, ensuring GAAP compliance.
  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes with an emphasis on efficiency and internal controls.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions to ensure accuracy and operational optimization.
  • Direct the annual audit process, working with external auditors to ensure clean and timely results.
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
  • Provide financial leadership in acquisition due diligence, analyzing financial statements, conducting risk assessments, and performing quality-of-earnings (QoE) adjustments.
  • Oversee post-acquisition financial integrations into ERP systems, ensuring alignment with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Partner with the CFO to monitor and report post-acquisition performance metrics and outcomes.
Internal Controls & Compliance
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and enhance reporting accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local financial regulations, including tax filings and regulatory reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and enhance financial controls.
Strategic Financial Management
  • Collaborate with the CFO and executive team to develop financial strategies aligned with growth objectives.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports with variance analysis and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Support decision-making with scenario modeling and data-driven insights.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required.
  • 15+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Expertise in private equity-backed environments, M&A processes, and post-acquisition integration.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proven track record in managing audits and collaborating with external auditors.
