Controls Automation Engineer II AND Sr. Automation Engineer - Rockwell PLC required/ABB Robotic Arm preferred. (Military contracts dictate US Citizenship is required)

This is NOT a QA Automation role.

Description

Seeking a controls automation engineer experienced in developing Rockwell PLC code for new automated manufacturing cells. 50% of your time will be on improvement, 50% of your time will be on set ups from scratch. You'll be collaborating as part of our larger technology development group, comprised of our Software, IT, AI Dev, & Automation teams to deliver automated systems to support our rapidly growing manufacturing scaling. The ideal candidate would describe themselves as a curious problem solver, analytical, fast paced, and detailed oriented.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in automation/electrical/computer/mechanical/software engineering, or equivalent
  • 5 to10+ years in developing custom automation
  • PLC Ecosystems expertise (Rockwell Automation)
  • Proficient with Structured Text/Function Block/Sequential Function Charts
  • Experience with controls hardware including sensors, remote IO, servos, safety devices, machine vision, barcode readers, HMI. etc.
  • Experience using industrial networking protocols: Modbus, Ethernet TCP/IP, etc.
  • Control logic architecture design & planning
  • General robot experience (Preference given to those with ABB Robotic Arms)
  • US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in automation/electrical/computer/mechanical/software engineering, or equivalent
  • Specific robot experience (Preference given to ABB Robotic Arm experience)
  • Secondary ecosystem - Productivity Suite/Automation Direct
  • Experienced in OOP (object-oriented programming)
  • Experienced in using git-based version control
