Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Technical Resource (Maintenance Supervisor). In this role you will: - Manage outside design consultants and system integrators (implementation) and firm qualification, selection, and hiring (RFP process)- Drive continuous cost, quality and capability improvements in system designs and maintain up-to-date knowledge of leading edge technologies that will support business needs- Provide assistance to electrical and controls design managers in regard to maintain electrical and controls specifications- Negotiate purchase of electrical and automation services and equipment- Assist project management with design solutions for field issues- Provide directional support and oversight in regard to controls obsolescence upgrade projects- This is a functional leadership position that interacts closely and supports Operations, Quality Assurance, Innovation & Renovation, Marketing, and Logistics with electrical system design and optimization- Must be capable of managing outside firms to meet obligations of executing all assigned projects- Must be capable of leveraging PLC and SCADA programming technical expertise in support of factory operation for system optimization and troubleshooting- Act as liaison to Global corporate engineering, Market & Global IS/IT, and Factory Automation Systems Administrators - Understand and articulate automation requirements and objectives- Create functional and technical specifications related to automation systems - Ensure compliance with Company standards and methodologies for Factory Automation Systems with a focus on the following: Password and User management; Architectural reviews; Sensitive Data reviews; Application, OS and firm ware updates - Assist with management and development of facility electrical safety compliance requirements to include management of arc flash studies, infrared scans, electrical preventative maintenance, and so on - Assist in the evaluation of available technologies and help recommend solutions related to SCADA, Automation and Manufacturing Execution Systems- Assist in the management and development of device calibration routines to meet specific compliance objectives- Assist with management and development of controls obsolescence routines and upgrade projects- Participate in the strategic vision and planning for Factory of the Future - Engage direct reports to leverage their skillset to train mechanics in PLC, controls knowledge - The Engineering Automation and Controls Resource reports directly to the Factory Engineering Manager Compensation: Base salary plus bonus eligibilitySchedule: Monday - Friday (occasional weekend work)Location: Breinigsville, PA
