Job Description:
SUMMARY Applies electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify development or operational electrical machinery and electoral control equipment and circuity. Oversees assigned departments to ensure and improve material flow, machine efficiency, and associate safety by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Design and specify electrical controls for the manufacturing facilities including schematics, programming, and implementation. Design and update PLC programs for manufacturing facilities. Diagnoses cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance. Develops wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system of equipment modifications or expansion and directs personnel performing routine installation and maintenance duties. Provide support to manufacturing and maintenance for projects and preventative maintenance. Work with outside equipment suppliers and vendors to effectively communicate company standards and practices. Develop new concepts to reduce cost or improve quality through automation. Studies functional statements, organizational charts, and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units and to identify areas of duplication. Works independently or in a team environment on problem-solving activities. Follows systematic problem-solving methodology. Analyze work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment. Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations. Prepares and executes project plans. Assists in setting up and training on new equipment Interprets part drawings and blueprints Participates in new program launches Troubleshoots machinery/processes in area of specialization May develop and write equipment specifications, performance requirements, cost analysis, and proposal for integrating machinery into manufacturing process May coordinate tool development with suppliers Develops cost estimates, prepares investment requests and project budgets, initiates purchase requisitions, tracks project costs and verifies project payback. Facility dude administrator Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance in accordance with our attendance policy. Must be regularly available and willing to work at least 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, or such other hours per day or hours per week as is determined necessary or desirable to meet our business needs. Must be available and willing to work such overtime per day or per week as the supervisor determines is necessary or desirable to meet our business needs. Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing to comply with all safety laws and all of our safety policies and rules.
