Job Description:
Process Controls EngineerPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Process Controls Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining control systems for manufacturing processes in a chemical environment, ensuring compliance with GMP standards and optimizing operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement control systems for manufacturing processes
  • Develop and maintain process control strategies using PLCs and DCS systems
  • Create and review P&ID and electrical schematics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve process efficiency and reliability
  • Conduct technical analysis and troubleshooting of control systems
  • Ensure compliance with GMP regulations and safety standards
  • Utilize AutoCAD for control panel layouts and schematics
  • Integrate Ethernet, IP, and Modbus communication protocols into control systems
  • Support the installation and commissioning of control systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Provide training and support for plant operators on control systems and HMI interfaces
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Controls Engineer or Process Controls Engineer in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong knowledge of control systems including PLC, DCS, and HMI
  • Proficient knowledge of P&ID's
  • Experience with Rockwell software such as RSLogix and Studio 5000
  • Familiarity with PlantPAx architecture
  • Understanding of electrical systems and panel layouts
  • Proficient in AutoCAD for design and documentation
