Process Controls EngineerPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Process Controls Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining control systems for manufacturing processes in a chemical environment, ensuring compliance with GMP standards and optimizing operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement control systems for manufacturing processes
- Develop and maintain process control strategies using PLCs and DCS systems
- Create and review P&ID and electrical schematics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve process efficiency and reliability
- Conduct technical analysis and troubleshooting of control systems
- Ensure compliance with GMP regulations and safety standards
- Utilize AutoCAD for control panel layouts and schematics
- Integrate Ethernet, IP, and Modbus communication protocols into control systems
- Support the installation and commissioning of control systems in a manufacturing environment
- Provide training and support for plant operators on control systems and HMI interfaces
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience as a Controls Engineer or Process Controls Engineer in a manufacturing setting
- Strong knowledge of control systems including PLC, DCS, and HMI
- Proficient knowledge of P&ID's
- Experience with Rockwell software such as RSLogix and Studio 5000
- Familiarity with PlantPAx architecture
- Understanding of electrical systems and panel layouts
- Proficient in AutoCAD for design and documentation
