LHH is seeking an experienced and talented Controls Engineer eager to work on innovative, cutting-edge projects in Tulsa, OK. What You'll Do
System Development & Documentation
- Design and implement PLCs, DCSs, RTUs, Flow Computers, HMIs, and SCADA systems based on customer specifications.
- Develop and update essential project documentation, including IO Lists, Control Narratives, and P&IDs.
- Support As-Built documentation and redline drawings as required.
Testing & Deployment
- Conduct prototyping, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and system validation to ensure seamless project execution.
- Perform on-site activities such as installation support, loop commissioning, startup support, and operator training.
Client Collaboration
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with clients through meetings and consistent follow-ups.
- Participate in project kickoffs, technical reviews, and closeouts, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
Programming & Networking
- Create and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs using the Allen-Bradley Studio Suite.
- Configure and deploy secure networking solutions with expertise in ModBus, Ethernet/IP, and wireless systems.
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, Java, and HTML to develop and maintain data collection tools.
Field Service & Support
- Perform equipment service calls, supporting various brands and models.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend solutions to clients and team members.
What You Bring
Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and automation systems.
- Proficiency in Allen-Bradley RS5000, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk ME, and other related tools.
- Knowledge of serial communication protocols, secure networking designs, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to design PLC/HMI programs from scratch based on requirements.
Education
- A degree in software, mechanical, or electrical engineering is preferred but not required.
Additional Requirements
- Reside in the Tulsa Metro area.
- Ability to travel up to 50%, with a flexible schedule that includes occasional long days or weekends.
