Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for all technical support, designing, programming, and commissioning of controls and instrumentation hardware and software on all plant equipment and processes. The ideal candidate will have ability to work independently & as part of cross-functional teams, able to work under minimal supervision and exhibit a high attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Controls Engineer Location: Lawton, MI Pay Rate: Up to $75/hr (Will be dependent on experience level) Key Responsibilities
  • Support strategic planning, input and execution of engineering budget as it relates to electrical and controls equipment and infrastructure.
  • Create PLC (Allen Bradley) programs for new equipment and upgrades/modifications for existing equipment.
  • Ensure all electrical controls engineering specifications are current and compliant with all regulatory bodies.
  • Support all other engineering projects and maintenance projects to provide controls support and technical expertise as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in an Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or Automation Engineering role.
  • Proficiency in working with Allen-Bradley PLC's and using RS Logix software
