Title: Manufacturing Engineering Integration Manager

Location: New Iberia, LA

Rate: $122,000+ (depending on experience)

  • Additional 10-20% Annual Bonus

Shift:

  • On site: Mon-Fri 9AM-5PM

An Insight Global client is seeking to hire a Manager of Controls Engineering for a new manufacturing facility near Lafayette, LA. This person is responsible for all Automation Manufacturing tools and teams at this new facility and will report into the MES team leadership. This new plant will operate 24/7 and this person can expect to manage a team of 10-15 engineers and other technical personnel directly, while also being responsible for operation of the entire team (around 50 people including technicians, etc.). The person who takes on this job will need to have a background in high production MES environments, hands on technical knowledge on how to program PLCs and HMIs, data analysis skills, basic IT knowledge and strong leadership experience. This role is local to Louisiana once the plant is fully operational, but will require 50% - 75% travel for the first 3-6 months for training purposes. Our client can offer relocation compensation, and this role will pay between $122,800 to $1750,000 with bonus potential of 10% to 20% on top of that base salary. Exact compensation may vary based on education and experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electric, Controls Robotics or similar preferred)
  • 15+ years of experience in a high production MES environment, with hundreds of PLCs and HMIs and thousands of control points and 1,000+ change requests a year.
  • 5+ years of plant leadership experience including full P+L experience, hiring, team building, project management, KPI, KPO, plant sustainment, etc.
  • Technical experience with designing complex automation/controls systems & electrical design schematics.
  • Data Analysis skills such as SQL scripting to run scripts and pull reports on system data.
  • Basic IT knowledge around servers and networking. Experience with troubleshooting system outages (VPNs) and limiting cyber risks at the plant.
  • Experience working with a global team across multiple time zones to achieve constant plant operability.

Plusses:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering (Electric, Controls Robotics or similar preferred)
  • Experience with designing robotics systems that include AGV's for example.
  • Experience with Industrial IO/IOT networks and tools.
