Job DetailsWe are seeking an experienced Controls Service Technician to support commercial sites in Rhode Island/Massachusetts. This role is responsible for preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning and general servicing of control systems (including detailed troubleshooting of systems). Responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on site, customer interface.Responsibilities:
- Perform HVAC DDC (Direct Digital Controls) systems programming, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning and preventative maintenance as it is related to mechanical, electrical and low voltage controls components.
- Respond to control systems service and warranty calls
- Provide front line controls technical and repair support through effective communications
- Provide controls system repair and or update recommendations and assist in proposing of recommendations to customers.
- Load field and network level controller software.
- Perform system commissioning and system diagnostics for all levels of system controllers as well as end devices (i.e. Sensors, actuators, etc.) and complete all required commissioning documentation.
- Keep management and contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.
- Calibrate control systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.
- Complete administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
- Document changes and provides information for as-built documentation.
- Execute company sponsored as well as personally initiated training to ensure the highest level of knowledge and capability are maintained.
- Engage with customers to fully understand their systems and needs.
- Communicates with the contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
MUST HAVE:
- 3+ years of BAS/BMS or HVAC Controls experience
- Experience working with one of the following BAS/BMS platforms: Schneider Electric, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Automated Logic, Delta Controls, Distech, or Trane
- HVAC and Mechanical System Checkout, Startup, and System Commissioning
