The Opportunity 💼

The Controls Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing automated control systems at their flagship facility. This position offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge automation technology in one of the most advanced lime production facilities in the Americas.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems in chemical manufacturing processes
• Work extensively with Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on automation equipment
• Monitor and optimize process control parameters for calcium extraction
• Document maintenance activities and system modifications
• Collaborate with production teams to implement process improvements
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electronics, Automation, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
• 3-5 years' experience in industrial controls maintenance
• Demonstrated expertise with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC platforms
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and control circuits
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Experience with HMI systems and basic programming capabilities

Preferred Skills

• Chemical or mineral processing industry experience
• Knowledge of DCS systems and industrial networks
• Familiarity with NFPA and NEC standards
• Background in GMP environments
• Experience with industrial instrumentation calibration
