Summary As a Controls Technician you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of our manufacturing control systems. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production processes, enhancing product quality, and contributing to our mission of delivering superior tires to our customers. Job Description - Install, program, and maintain PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and other control systems used in tire manufacturing - Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for control systems to prevent unexpected failures and ensure consistent functionality - Participate in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment, control systems, and automation technologies - Stay current with industry trends and advancements in control systems, automation technologies, and industrial communication protocols - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols while performing control system maintenance and upgrades - Manage SCADA type devices in an industrial based environment - Performing scheduled maintenance programs Job Requirements Job Requirement - Associate's degree or higher in related field preferred - 5+ years of experience as a Controls Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting - Proficiency in PLC programming languages (Allen Bradley PLC s and other types of controllers) - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure - Detail-oriented mindset and the ability to document processes and procedures accurately - Flexibility to work varying shifts and respond to off-hours emergencies
