Controls Technician- Marion, INJob DescriptionThis company is a global provider of sustainable packaging solutions for food and beverage. As a Controls Technician at this Marion, IN manufacturing facility, you will play a crucial role in optimizing and troubleshooting control systems such as PLCs, VFDs, I/O, vision systems, HMIs, industrial networking systems, DCS systems, and automation and control software. Additional responsibilities are listed below: Job Responsibilities:Troubleshooting and managing the plant optimization of control systems including PLC's, VFD's. I/O, vision systems, HMI's, industrial networking systems, DCS system, and automation and control softwaresComply with safety and environmental regulations applicable to this company and manufacturing processRespond to and troubleshoot all plant equipment resulting directly or indirectly from electrical or controls system dynamicsRecommend and implement improvements and optimizations for plant electrical and control systemsWork cross-functionally with maintenance and productionMay be required to design and draw schematics for equipment updatesWork with outside vendors effectively coordinating workRequired Qualifications:Associates Degree in Industrial Automation, EET, MET, Advanced Automation, etc.3+ years of professional controls engineering experienceProficiency in troubleshooting/modifying programs in PLCs/HMIs, Fanuc Robots, ServosAbout Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
