Insight Global is seeking a Controls Systems Technician for our client in the greater Manhattan/Junction City area. As a Controls Systems Technician, you will perform assigned system commissioning using proprietary configuration and commissioning tools. Required Qualifications 2+ years of equivalent technical electronics experience in either an industrial or commercial environment Software, Commissioning, and/or PLC programming experience Bachelors or Associates Degree is highly preferred in Industrial Automation, Electronic Technology, Engineering, or Computer Science (may substitute education in lieu of experience Plusses: Johnson Controls, Trane, Siemens, or Honeywell software experience Low voltage experience with security, fire, or access controls systems Able to use hand and power tools (i. e., drills, saws, etc.) Basic knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems IT networking experience Responsibilities: You will troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems and respond to basic warranty calls Loads system-level controller software Performs basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (such as: sensors, actuators, etc.) and completes all required commissioning documentation Keeps management and contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment Completes administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation Documents changes and provides information for as-built documentation Communicates with the contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training
