About the Role Essity is currently seeking Control Technicians for our Middletown, Ohio, paper manufacturing site. Preferred candidates will have journeyman level experience, be multi - skilled, and capable of performing industrial maintenance skills. Being a shared resource for the entire mill when technical expertise or other capabilities are needed to solve a problem, support a project, or implement changes, and will strive to drive safe, respectful, and positive workplace interactions. What You Will Do - Respond to critical requests for support site-wide controls needs
- Perform troubleshooting on site using Ethernet and logic controls interface tools
- Identify improvement ability for critical instrumentation
- Support and troubleshoot operating motors, drives, and other logic-controlled variable effort equipment
- Support and lead capital project teams when necessary
- Develop and mentor apprentices in trade area
- Provide safety solutions involving equipment, preventive maintenance, reactive maintenance
- Maintenance for all controls instruments
- Participate in installation activities with team members, vendors, contractors, capital project leaders
- Participate in maintenance on call rotation
- Performs other duties as required Who You Are
- Experience with controls and electrical instrumentation in a heavy industrial environment
- Apprenticeship or related academic instruction applying to electrical and/or controls
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Good ability to work within a small and/or large team
- Curious mindset to learn new skills
- Possess strong work ethic and self starter
