The Controls Technician at our client will be responsible for maintaining and providing troubleshooting efforts to controls and automation equipment for a high-volume food manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities:
- Execute tasks and perform preventative maintenance on controls and automation equipment such as PLCs and HMIs
- Installation of new automation systems that meet safety and quality standards
- Program and integrate PLCs, HMIs on new line installations
- Support the Preventative Maintenance Program with goal of reducing equipment downtime
- Follow OSHA and government roles including Lock-out/Tag-out procedures. (GMPs) and personal/food safety Programs (SQF)
- Maintenance record of work performed through the use of work orders, software.
- Consistently seek opportunities for continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of controls and automation experience in a manufacturing setting
- 6 months of experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge and familiarity with Allen Bradley and Siemens controls equipment, preferred
