Job Description:
Founded in 1963, Townley Engineering & Manufacturing is a rapidly growing, American-made solutions expert for wear and abrasion problems found in the mining, dredging, and power industries.We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to set up, maintain and operate machinery. You'll ensure the interminable and efficient running of production. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. Has a willingness to learn and improve.Essential Job Functions:
  • Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
  • Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
  • Test operation of machines periodically
  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
  • Using machine equipment to complete tasks
  • Performing routine inspections of manufacturing equipment
  • Evaluating the efficiency of each unit regularly, identifying improvements as needed
  • Shear materials for jobs as needed
  • Inspect drills for defects and ensure proper sizing
  • Run CNC machinery efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area
  • Collaborate effectively within a team setting
  • Adhere to safety guidelines, company policies, and operational protocols

  • Ability to read tape measures and calipers
  • Ability to proactively troubleshoot problems
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with CNC machines, drillers and routers
  • Familiarity with production manufacturing environments
  • Capable of assembling and preparing panels
  • Basic computer input skills
  • Ability to work scheduled hours and comply with the company's timekeeping policy and all other company policies
Required Physical Demands:Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products.
