Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing -
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Food Services Director and Administration to keep residents satisfied with food and during dining programs
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure food is received, stored, and prepared according to dietary standards
- Maintain kitchen, food storage and preparation areas in a clean, safe and sanitary condition at all times
- Responsible for opening and closing the kitchen
- Adhere to cleaning schedules and regulatory food safety standards and practices
- Document temperatures of food prior to service, refrigeration and freezer
- Assist with preparation and execution of special events and theme meals
- Perform other duties as needed and assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must Possess a Genuine and Caring Attitude Towards Seniors
- Minimum of 1 Year of Experience as a Cook, Healthcare Setting Preferred
- Good Communication Skills and Ability to Interact with Residents and Staff
- Able to Lift 50 Pounds
