Job descriptionRequirements:Food Handlers Certification/ServSafeMust be able to pass a level II AHCA background screening.1-2 Years Related ExperienceAt Seashore Senior Living, we have an immediate opening for a cook in our facility. This is a very important position, as youwill be directly impacting our residents daily with the food you prepare.At Seashore, our team is a family, and we are looking for a new team member that can be depended on to show up and serve our residents with amazing, nutritious meals.As a Seashore Cook, you willPrepare meals that are nutritious, appetizing, and appealing according to company menus and recipes, as well as to physician orders.Ensure food and supplies are available for meals planned.Prepare and serve food attractively and punctually.Oversee procedures for covering, dating, labeling, and storing of food in a timely manner.Assist with cleaning the kitchen after meals according to cleaning schedule, including preparation and service areas, pots and pans, kitchen surfaces, walls, and floors.The ideal candidate will haveOne year of relevant experience working in a restaurant or assisted living environment.The ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.Have a passion for food and serviceDesirous or caring for a garden that provides fresh foods to residentsMaintain food handlers certification such as ServSafeWorking knowledge of food safety procedures, sanitation measures, and storage protocols.A heart for working with senior adults and their families.Compensation: $18/per hrFriday, Saturday and Sunday, 12 hr days. 7am-7pm If this describes you, apply today for first consideration!Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $18.00 per hourRestaurant type:Casual dining restaurantShift:12 hour shiftWeekly day range:Weekend availabilityAbility to commute/relocate:New Smyrna Beach, FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Application Question(s):Will you pass a level 2 background screen?Work Location: In person
