Job Type Full-time Description

  • Plans food preparation by reviewing menus and food production sheets daily.
  • Performs all related duties in the assembly/preparation of foods/beverages/patient trays according to nutritional requirements for regular, therapeutic, and other special diet orders.
  • Assists with ordering to maintain food inventory; labels/dates food items for storage; considers leftover items/food expiration dates in preparation of menu items.
  • Cleans cooking utensils and equipment; maintains the work area in a clean and orderly manner; performs dish room and general cleaning duties.
  • Delivers patient trays/nourishments in a timely manner.
  • Performs serving line and cashier duties for the dining room; balances/deposits cash.
  • Other roles and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements Education and Experience:
  • High school graduate or equivalency.
  • Food Protection Manager Certificate.
  • Prior related experience preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills required to handle multiple priorities and meet production deadlines.
Physical Demands:
  • Work is of medium demand.
  • Stands/walks most of the shift.
  • Routine lifting requirements up to 50 pounds.
  • Sitting, bending and reaching required.
