As we continue to grow, the sky is the limit!SUMMARY OF POSITIONIn accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Cook is responsible for all aspects of food preparation including; prep, cooking, baking, slicing, roasting, etc. in accordance with state regulations. Will prepare meals from scratch and keep accurate inventory control. May serve to the residents to meet operational needs. Requirements:
- High School education or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience cooking
- One (1) year experience in Nursing Home/Hospital type setting as a cook preferred
- Servsafe required or paid training to obtain within 3 months of hire
- Must have reliable transportation
- Able to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
- Able to perform basic math calculations, i.e. weights, temperatures, fractions, measurements, etc.
- Able to measure solids and liquids according to recipe specifications.
