POSITION SUMMARY

Follows directions for preparing, and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other food items for consumption in patient and retail serving areas. Prepares foods by operating a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut, shred fruits and vegetables, and trim and cut meat, poultry or fish for culinary use. Tastes products, reads and follows production sheets, and keeps records as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve food items in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
