Position Type: Cook/Nutrition Services/Cooks Date Posted: 10/10/2024 Location: Glen Dale Elementary County: Marshall County Schools - website POSITION 25S40 TITLE: Cook II (half-time) LOCATIONS: Glen Dale Elementary DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: A cook is charged with the responsibility of working within the framework of the Food Service Program of the school and the county. A cook will be assigned specific duties under the direction of the building principal or his/her designee. Specific duties may be: 1. Aid in the preparation and serving of meals 2. Help to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and serving area 3. Any other duties of a food service nature directed by the building principal or county supervisors. QUALIFICATIONS: A cook employed within the Marshall County School System should exhibit high moral characteristics, a good physical appearance, and a friendly, cooperative personality. A cook will be called upon to perform a variety of tasks requiring good physical health and development. Additionally, a cook must have a valid food handler's card and a high school diploma or equivalent. EMPLOYMENT TERM: Anticipated start date of October 28, 2024. (Normal contract: 200 days, normally 6:00 am - 2:00 pm). SALARY: Salary to be determined by salary classification level, experience, and education according to schedule at Pay grade B.
