Cook Philips High School Salary: 10,933 per annum

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Cook to support the Catering Manager and their Deputy in a busy high school kitchen. With high standards, you will be hands on, providing and delivering the school meals catering service at Philips High School, Whitefield.

Food Preparation and Cooking and a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate are essential for this post.

You must have experience in large scale Catering and demonstrate sound knowledge of Health and Safety and food safety systems. You will be provided with a uniform, training and the opportunity to gain a NVQ level 3 qualifications in catering.

The hours of work are 24 hours 50 minutes per week working Monday to Friday, term time only, plus 2 days worked in accordance with service requirements.

You will be required to assist the Catering Manager and their Deputy in this very busy high school preparing a variety of dishes & meals for up to 1000 pupils and staff on a daily basis in a professional manner. After training you may be required to step up in the absence of the Deputy Manager.
