The State of Michigan is looking for a Cook. The payrate range, hours and job duties are below. This position is in Kalamazoo, MI. Please let me know if you need anything else. Mon, Tue, Thurs, and Fri 6a-2:30p; Wed 10a-6:30p •Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner as needed for up to 30 participants. •Serve meals to individuals who are blind or low vision. •Prepare sack lunches for Saturday. •Utilize the health and allergy information for each participant to meet their dietary and allergy restrictions. •Utilize the first in, first out safe food handling procedure. •Utilize thermometers to verify safe food temperatures. •Check food deliveries for accuracy and level of quality. •Utilize commercial dish machine to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and cooking pots/pans. •Sanitize stainless steel surfaces. •Rotate food items in coolers as appropriate. •Document food or other items that need to be ordered. •Label food with use by dates as appropriate. •Sanitize tables/chairs in cafeteria after meals. •Clean coffee station and counter •Change coffee as needed. •Stock utensils, condiment carts, coolers as needed. •Other duties as assigned.
