Location: New York,NY, USA
Looking for a Part Time Saute/Grill cook with a solid background of experience. Shifts needed at this time:
Sunday: Dinner: 2pm-CLOSE (about 10-10:30 leaving)
Monday: Double 9am-CLOSE (W/ break midday) again, close will get you out around 10:30
Tuesday is possible: Lunch 8am or 9am (depending on Monday service) -4pm
MUST have Minimum of 5 years on the line with 3 on hot stations.
Must be able to be the lead with no chef in the kitchen after being fully trained on all dishes and running the salad and dish station cooks/ workers with you humbly and with excellent, respectful but effective communication.
Requirements for the position
MUST be able to cook meats, poultry and fish to temperature properly EVERY time.
MUST be able to cook a proper omelette or have experience with eggs and be able to listen and ask and learn quickly
MUST be able to show up in time to be changed and ready to clock in on time, every single time.
MUST have extensive experience with Western European (French preferable but not necessary) and/or American cuisine.

Must have a Social Security Card and Official ID to bring to start.
MUST have a good attitude and like to get along with others, take pride in your work and contribute to a strong, healthy team atmosphere in the workplace/
MUST have experience with NYDOH and if not already having a Health Certificate, be willing to immediately start taking the course. I will pay for the exam once the course is finished, however you must finish first and have shown up every day on time in order for me to pay for it.
Pay will range from $18-$26/hr. Payment is by check. Weekly
We are located on the Upper East Side by Museum Mile. Close to the NQR and 456 86th st stations or the 6 at 96th. You can transfer from the W Side on 86 or 96 on M-X-town busses and come from basically anywhere else to get there… 1,2,3 - A,B,C,D - transfer further downtown earlier if needing a FJMLG to get to the other mentioned trains or get to 23rd st and take any of the M1,2,3 or 4 busses and you will get to us easily.
This Part Time position could always lead to Full Time in the future, you never know. Right now it is the only open position for clarification sake.
