The Cook's primary objective is the preparation of food items to ensure a high standard of quality and quantity to meet the needs of the residents. You would be handling food in accordance with sanitary standards and recognized food preparation standards.Work Duties
- Prepares food, including but not limited to: washing, trimming, cutting, portioning, measuring, mixing, and panning;
- Cooks food including: baking, broiling, frying, steaming, braising, boiling, and pressure cooking;
- Provides meals that are properly cooked, tasty, and attractive meeting high standards for quality and presentation and ensuring dietary needs are met;
- Takes stock to ensure appropriate quality and quantity for meal preparation;
- Ensures cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen;
- Complies with all food preparation standards and health and safety requirements;
Part-timeShifts:Saturdays and Sundays, 11:30 A.M.-7 P.M.Evening, weekend, and holiday availability Pay: $18 - $21/ hr depending on experience To be successful in the role, you would have:
- Prior culinary, food service, or restaurant experience
- Food Handler's certification
- ServSafe certification (preferred)
