Job Summary: The Cook at Ramada Plaza Nags Head Oceanfront in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina is a full-time hourly position within our Hospitality/Restaurant department. The individual in this role will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to recipes and the highest quality standards. This person must have a passion for cooking and providing exceptional service to our guests. Compensation & Benefits: This position offers competitive pay, with a starting hourly rate of $18 to $20, depending on experience. Pay will be disbursed on a bi-weekly basis. Responsibilities: •Prepare and cook food according to menu and recipe standards. •Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures. •Maintain inventory of food products and ingredients. •Ensure proper storage and labeling of food. •Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace. •Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to plan and execute menus. •Assist in training and mentoring junior team members. •Adhere to all company policies and procedures. •Provide exceptional customer service to guests. •Perform other duties as assigned by management. Requirements: •High school diploma or equivalent. •Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role. •Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices. •Ability to follow recipes and cooking techniques. •Strong communication and teamwork skills. •Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds. •Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. •Knowledge of different cooking styles and techniques is a plus.
